Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: Distance Covered: 5 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Tuesday 2nd May - walks *** Felixstowe prom - Sunny periods.
A bit more cloud this morning but e had the usual morning at home,
exercises with Mag teak oiling the front door, then I had a quick walk down
to the seafront taking in three post boxes with newly knitted tops to take
some pics for the local TV weather, unfortunately they were not used, can?t
win them all:) The sun was now out but there was a cool breeze form the
east blowing but there were lots of kids about due to the teachers strike.
I had already prepared the chicken for tonight plus the usual tray of
roasted vegetables, I just love peeling! I then made another cake and
crumble with a little help from Mag. Then after dinner we walked to the
cliff top and back through the town to buy a local paper as I have a pic
in, then on to visit an old friend for a cuppa and cake. At 4 we return
home to put the oven on before setting off again. Down to the seafront we
walk to the end of the prom at The Manor end so the cool breeze is on our
backs but the sun was out making it very pleasant. We then headed inland
past the Coastwatch Martello Tower and onto Langer Park which was lovely as
we were now completely out of the breeze with loads of trees in bloom:)
There might be enough breeze for a couple of days windsurfing, fingers
crossed:)
